Well summer is over and it's time for getting up early and making sure homework gets done again. This summer sure went by fast! I hope you had some time to enjoy some of it. It's warm but thankfully hasn't been as hot as we normally get here in the San Joaquin Valley.
Well with school comes CAC time!! :o) CAC stands for Community Advisory Committee. It's going to be a great year this year. We have a great schedule. We aren't having monthly presentations like we have had in the past. We are trying something different this year because our attendance has been down so much so we thought we would condence it and see if this helps. If people seem to want it the other way and we get a better response then we might go back to monthly next year. We just can't bring in presenters if we don't have enough people showing up to attend the meetings. We have had some awesome presenters also. This year we will be having presenters every OTHER month BUT we WILL be having our business meetings EVERY MONTH and EVERYONE is welcome to attend those. You will find out what is happening in the community and in CAC during those meetings. You can also put in your feedback during those meetings. We do need more Parent Reps in our areas so please come and see what we are about. :o) Later this week I will be posting the Save the Date schedule. I will be getting that from Margaret on Thurs.
ATTENTION PARENT REPS: If your schools you represent are having a Back to School Night, then talk to the Principal and do like I am and set up a CAC table!! Margaret can get you a banner and info to set out for parents and people who want it. Lets get the word out about CAC and get MORE attendee's to our presentations. Let's help more families this year!
